I’m Mike, a Registered Clinical Counsellor passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families find connection, healing, and growth while celebrating our unique diversity. Having grown up supported by this community, I’m deeply grateful to give back through compassionate, transformative therapy.
With nearly 20 years of experience in social and emotional learning, primarily with youth, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my practice. I hold a Master’s in Counselling from City University of Seattle and a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of British Columbia (UBC). My approach integrates attachment theory, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), existential therapy, and narrative therapy to promote holistic wellness.
I provide a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive space—available in person or virtually—where you can feel safe to explore challenges like anxiety, relationship conflicts, grief, ADHD, or life transitions. I work with clients of all ages, including individuals seeking personal growth, couples aiming to deepen their connection, and families navigating conflict or change.
Outside of counselling, I enjoy hiking in British Columbia’s beautiful landscapes, squash, pickleball, and spending time with my family, which keeps me grounded and present for my clients. Ready to start your journey? Contact me through our website to book a free 15-minute consultation.
